Sioux Central Elementary is thrilled to announce that I Love to Read Month is HERE! This year’s theme is “Lights, Camera, Books!” Get ready for a month full of fun activities designed to spark your child’s imagination and foster a lifelong love of reading. Tuesday, February 4 is Tip Your Hat to Reading. Elementary students should wear their favorite hat or a hat inspired by a character in a book. Watch Seesaw for many more fun activities.
Congratulation to senior Linnea Bloom! On Friday she signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and running career at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. Linnea will run cross country and track and field under head coach Scott Barnes at WIU. We know Linnea will continue to accomplish great things as she continues her running career and we are very excited to watch her at the collegiate level!
The Junior Class will be selling Valentine's orders for either a Carnation or Crush soda during elementary - high school lunch on Monday and Tuesday of this week, as well as at the varsity ball games on Tuesday. All orders need to be in by Tuesday night!

The Sioux Central Speech team is selling Krispy Kreme donuts as a fundraiser! Orders will be taken through Wednesday, February 6th, and payment is due at the time of ordering. Donuts will be available for pick up at the school on Wednesday, February 12th and Thursday, February 13th (just in time for Valentines Day!). The high school students had the privilege of listening to Timmy the Dreamer at school today! He is the founder of Dreamer State University. He and his team have made dreams come true for thousands of kids with cancer, disabilities, and kids needing a miracle. He has collaborated with celebrities like Steph Curry, Jake Paul, and Oprah to name a few. Today he shared with the students how they can make their dreams come true.
