I just want to give a shout out to Mr. Price for organizing a field trip for the JH & HS music students to have a private screening of Wicked: For Good in Spencer today. We took 130 students (which shows how many students are involved in music at Sioux Central) and had absolutely zero issues. Everything ran very smoothly and the students were wonderful ambassadors for our school. Managers from both restaurants commented on how well behaved and courteous our students were. All the students I talked to said that it was a good experience and they were glad they went.
The Sioux Central varsity basketball teams would like to recognize elementary students as KID CAPTAINS this season. At Sioux Central Schools, we have made great character a high priority at all grade levels. These students are nominated for being Safe, Caring, Respectful, and Responsible. Yesterday our Intro to AFNR students rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on vaccination lab that showed them exactly how real-world animal care works. From intramuscular to subcutaneous to intravenous techniques, they learned how to handle equipment safely, practice proper procedures, and build confidence through experience. These students are gaining skills that truly matter, and they took on the challenge like pros. #SiouxCentralRebels #RebelLegends

Students will complete our new Virtual Snow Day BINGO BLACKOUT; fun, hands-on tasks that can be done at home or daycare. Once all squares are done, families send a quick photo/message to the teacher to count attendance. Simple, flexible, and snow-day friendly!
SECONDARY:
Grades 6–12 will follow our new 8:20–12:01 Virtual Bell Schedule. Students join each class on Meet/Zoom for attendance and complete the day’s graded assignment.

Three Senior Cheerleaders were selected to participate in the Iowa Honor Cheer halftime performance this past Friday, during the Championship football games. Ashlee and Cheyanne were chosen for the dance side, and Bella for the stunt side. Congratulations, girls!
