Sioux Central will offer a Pep Bus on Friday, March 1st, for the girls state basketball game at 10:00. Students need to be signed up by noon on Thursday, and the bus will leave at 6:15 Friday morning. Go SC!!

Due to many scheduling conflicts that arose around the state basketball tournament, we are rescheduling our HS Pops Concert from Friday, March 1st to THURSDAY, MARCH 7th. The concert will still take place at 7:00pm. This will overlap parent-teacher conferences that will also be taking place. It's a great chance to come early to the concert and have conferences!
We will have a sendoff for our Sioux Central Ladies Basketball Team at 1:30 today! We will be sending them off from the main parking lot at the school, and then they will be heading south on 71. Feel free to send them off with waves, honks, etc. from wherever you can! GO REBELS. GAME TIME 8:30 P.M. TUESDAY NIGHT. Come out and celebrate with the girl's basketball team on Sunday! Take pictures and visit with the girls while enjoying pork loin sandwiches, cheesy hashbrowns, green beans, cookies, and a drink from 5:00-6:30. After the meal there will be a pep rally in the gym to congratulate the team on their great season! Let's fill the gym and show the girls that we're cheering them on as they head to the State Tournament to play Tuesday night!

Music Department Senior Spotlight: Jaxsen Payne
Jaxsen has been a member of the choir, band, and jazz band for 4 years. He has also been in 2 musical productions: Legally Blonde as Warner and Disney's The Little Mermaid as Prince Eric. Jaxsen loves music at SC because "I enjoy doing the performances after the weeks of work that goes into them". His favorite choir song was "Country Roads" his junior year and favorite band piece was "Star Wars Heros" his sophomore year. His favorite memory in the music department was going to Adventureland for the music trip. Thank you, Jaxsen!

We are sponsoring a pep bus for the reg BB final in Spencer. Cost is $2 +ticket (required to have digitally) and is open to 6th-12th grades. Greetings friends and community members of the Sioux Central School District! Sioux Central is hosting Individual District Speech Contest on February 24th, 2024, and we are still looking for volunteers to help make this event run smoothly. Various roles to be filled including room chairs (introduce performers and time selections), Door monitors (usher contestants and spectators in and out of the room and monitor hallway volume levels), Runners (collecting ballots, helping judges get around the building, and posting ratings), and Entry Tables (accept entry donations and sell programs). These are very easy jobs and anyone can fill! If you are available and interested in helping the school host this fine arts event, (20 other schools with a total of 28 teams will be here!) please click on the link below to sign-up for a shift. You can email Alyssa Rusk (arusk@siouxcentral.org) with any questions. We would love to have you supporting all our NW Iowa area kids! Sioux Central has entered 39 events, and overall there will be an estimated 430 performances. It takes a lot of volunteers to pull this off! If you sign-up as a Room Chair or Door Monitor you can also watch the performances. If this is something you are interested in, awesome! If not, no worries!
