Sioux Central May Term "Exploring the Theatre" has been underway since attending Hamilton in Omaha on May 17th! Students had a blast seeing Hamilton, and they all agree that there is nothing quite like attending a live theatre production. Today they were able to experience a quick sound workshop with Northwestern College Professor Drew Schmidt where they learned how to pick appropriate sound affects and effectively edit them for theatre.

Today’s Track and Field festivities at Sioux Central were on a whole new level of FUN thanks to her unmatched energy and creativity! 💥
She didn't just show up in style (seriously—check out that look! 🔥), she brought the vibe for the entire day. Using AI, she created 70 unique songs all about Sioux Central, including personalized tracks for individual teachers! Each one brought smiles, laughs, and a whole lot of spirit to the field. 🎧💃
Her contagious energy, spunky personality, and dedication to making the day memorable for everyone—students and staff alike—did not go unnoticed. 💗

Elementary Track and Field Day – Still On for Wednesday!
We’re excited to announce that Track and Field Day is still scheduled for this Wednesday! While there is a slight chance of rain, we’re optimistic and planning to move forward as scheduled. TK-2nd grade events will run from 8:45-10:45 a.m. and 3rd-5th grade events will run from 12:30-2:30 p.m. (LUNCH: TK-2 grade 11:00-11:30 and 3-5 from 11:30-12:00).
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather—it may be cool in the morning, so layers are a good idea. If the weather takes a turn and we experience more rain than expected, we may need to end the day early, but we’re hopeful for clear skies and a full day of fun.
A quick reminder: Only water is allowed on the field—no sports drinks, please. Also, if you plan on taking your child after the event, please communicate this with his/her teacher or the office. Thank you!
We’re looking forward to a great day filled with energy, teamwork, and excitement!

Jack Christian ran his personal best and a school record in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:58.51. Sage Weber also ran in the 1500 meter run and broke her own school record with a time of 4:56.57. Way to end a great State Meet Rebels. Couldn't be more proud of all of you!!

The D-Med, made of Hadley Ayers, Linnea Bloom, Marley Madsen and Karina Bloom competed and earned a time of 4:24.50. Way to be Rebels!! Ryleigh Waldstein just competed in the 100 meter hurdles and ran a personal best, a time of 15.95. Amazing run Ryleigh!! That's it for today. Back tomorrow for Jack in the 800 and Sage in the 1500.

The boys shuttle hurdle relay team, made up of Kinnick Fahrenkrog, Max Wittmaack, Ethyn Wilson and Owen Mills, just competed in their prelim event and ran a personal best time of 1:02.30. Great work gentleman!!
Hadley Ayers just competed in the 100 meter dash prelim, and ran her personal best, a time of 12.75. Way to go Hadley!!
Girls 4x800, Linnea Bloom, Nora Christian, Marley Madsen, and Karina Bloom finished 6th overall with a time of 9:52.25. That is another school record and the 35th best time in the state in the 4x800. Keep it rolling Rebels!!
Lucos Wernimont ran a personal best at state with a 10:14.20 in the 3200 meter run, and Hadley Ayers ran a 26.65 in her 200 meter prelim. Way to go Lucos and Hadley!!
