
Congratulations to the Sioux Central boys cross country team: Jack Christian, Joshua Hoffman, Brayden Kramber, Alex Kueny, Nathan Kueny, Leighton Sippel, and Ethan Wernimont, as well as girls individual qualifier Linnea Bloom for qualifying for the Cross Country State Championship being held at Kennedy Park in Ft. Dodge on Friday, October 28th. Linnea will run at 10:30am, the boys team will run at 11:15am. Ticket information will be available Monday.

The 2nd graders have been studying and researching schools around the world. Some schools include the tent school in Haiti, the boat school in Bangladesh, and the doorstep school in India. They compared and contrasted these schools with Sioux Central. They put all of their research into a book. They shared their book with the Kindergarten class this morning. Good luck to our HS cross country runners today as they compete at the State Qualifying meet in Holstein. Running begins at 4:00 p.m. Go Rebels!

Thursday night's game is not only our last game of the season, but also PINK OUT to honor those who have fought, and are currently fighting, breast cancer. The Cheerleaders will have free face painting before the game, and buckets will be passed for any donations towards BVRMC's P.I.N.K. Program.

For a service project, our National Honor Society adopted the Engeltjes family from Everly who tragically lost wife/mother Courtney in a car accident recently. Through PIe-in-Face Homecoming fundraiser and passing the bucket at games, they raised $1600 for this family. We take care of each other in NW Iowa. #RebelPride

The Junior Class is hosting a Middle School Dance for Sioux Central students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade on Friday, October 21, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Cost is $5- per student. Cans of pop and treats will be available to buy throughout the night as well. All proceeds will go towards the Junior-Senior Prom.
