Sioux Central STAFF SPOTLIGHT!! Each week SC staff members will be in the spotlight giving you a chance to get to know them a bit better. If you see someone you know in the spotlight, be sure to tell them! Thanks, SC staff, for all the work and time you put into providing a strong education for students at SC.
The Sioux Central PIE committee is offering a quick order homecoming shirt! Orders will be due NO LATER then 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13th. Sizes offered are unisex Youth XS- Adult 3X. Cost is $20. Proceeds from shirts will go back to students and teachers for classroom supplies, conference meals and field trips.
To order: submit name, phone number, sizes and payment- cash or check (checks made out to Sioux Central PIE) to the office no later than Wednesday, Sept. 13th. We will not be able to accept late orders.
The schedule for tonight's HS VB matches at Spencer...5:30 p.m. JVR/JV will play on two courts at the HS ...with varsity to follow (Approx. 7:00 p.m.) Traditional cash box at the gate/door.

Tonight's varsity football game will be livestreamed on NFHS network. There is a subscription fee to watch. The link is https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/schools/sioux-central-high-school-sioux-rapids-ia.
The Sioux Central HS/MS football program will be offering 3rd - 6th graders the opportunity to join "Thursday Night Lights". This program will promote teamwork and sportsmanship with our youth. Return the form by Tuesday, September 19th or bring it to the first evening of the program. There will be no cost for this. The form must be turned in to participate.
The volleyball schedule for tonight's HS matches...JVR and JVR @ 5:30 p.m. in the HS gym. Varsity will start around 7:00 p.m.
1st through 5th grade students were challenged in their first week of coding class to remember their iPad and Chromebook skills they learned last year. For every skill they remembered, Mrs. Morris promised the students that she would let them embarrass her by placing a sticker on her face and posting the picture on the school website! As you can see, these students did not disappoint!
Three Sioux Central students competed over the Labor Day weekend in the Iowa Junior High School Rodeo Association and the Iowa High School Rodeo Association rodeo in Larchwood, Iowa. Clay Binder, an 8th grader, competed in goat tying, chute dogging, ribbon roping, team roping, and breakaway roping. Riley Binder, a senior, competed in barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tying. Lacey Johnson, also a senior, competed in breakaway roping, goat tying, and barrels. These students will compete again this coming weekend in Adel.
5th Grade Parents: The Beginning Band Display Night is THIS Thursday (9/7) from 5:30-7:30pm in the Band Room. This is a come-and-go event to help you get your child ready for success and to Be Part of the Band! If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Perry.

Admission for tonight's JV FB game in Pocahontas will be a traditional cash box. Digital tickets are not needed. Go Rebels!
