Greetings, Sioux Central! The holidays are approaching quickly, and there is a lot happening here at Sioux Central! Recently, we celebrated our veterans, both past and present, with a heartfelt program here at SC. The Junior High Band performed exceptionally well, as always, making the event truly memorable. Upcoming Events: The Phantom Tollbooth Performance: Our Fine Arts program will be presenting The Phantom Tollbooth this weekend! Join us for a fantastic two-day show on Friday and Saturday, starting at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children and seniors. Don’t miss this wonderful production! Girls Wrestling Tournament: SC Girls Wrestling will host their first home wrestling tournament next Friday, November 22, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Come out to support our Lady Rebels! Thanksgiving Break: Our offices will be closed on November 28-29 for Thanksgiving. District News: After Christmas, we’ll be starting the process for bids on an exciting upcoming project. This addition promises to bring wonderful enhancements to our facilities for students, staff, and the community! For those interested, the district has created Sioux Central calendars for purchase. Available in two sizes, they are priced at $1.00 for the smaller calendar and $2.00 for the larger. You can find them in the elementary or secondary offices, and we plan to have these ready for next year's open house as well. Stay tuned to KTIV and KCAY for weather-related announcements, and please reach out with any questions. Stay safe, and Go Rebels! Mr. Wood

Good afternoon, Sioux Central Community! As we embrace another winter season here at SC, we’re thrilled to share all that’s happening in our school community. Our Junior High Boys Basketball is already underway, with Junior High Girls Wrestling in full swing, and both Varsity Wrestling and Basketball starting up in the coming weeks. We’re also looking forward to our Fine Arts performance, scheduled for both Friday and Saturday evenings, November 15-16th—it’s shaping up to be a wonderful show! In addition, we’re honored to host a Veterans Day program at Sioux Central, celebrating and honoring our Veterans, both present and past. With the winter weather approaching, I will do my best to make any weather-related decisions as early as possible. Please remember that if you, as a parent, feel the weather conditions are becoming unsafe, you can always make the call to keep your children home. Your children’s safety is always our top priority. Finally, a reminder that the election polls will be open at the Sioux Central Elementary gym from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Thank you for your ongoing support, and please feel free to reach out with any questions. Sincerely, Mr. Wood
