This trip is going to be so much fun! There will be a trip informational meeting to discuss this wonderful opportunity on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 5:30 PM in the media center at Sioux Central school. Any new registrant who both attends the parent meeting and registers for the trip within 48 hours of the meeting will receive $100 off of the trip price!

My advisees had a blast with Ms. Ecker's and her 3rd graders today! Thank you letting us meet Stormy the Gerbil. We are looking forward to many more learning adventures this year!




Last Friday, Mr. Kasey Krager and Mr. Ryan Rusk used drones to take a few pictures of the #SiouxCentral middle and high school students and teachers.
The cross country meet in Okoboji has been canceled. XC runners will have regular practice.
The Cross Country meet at Okoboji today, Thursday, Sept 2, has made the following schedule changes:
Varsity Girls: 4:30pm
Vasity Boys: 5:00pm
JV Girls: 5:30pm
JV Boys: 6:00pm
The Sioux Central athletic department is looking for a volunteer to help run the scoreboard at home varsity football games. They would be running the down/distance/score portion, not including timing. If you are interested please contact Mr. Vasher at avasher@siouxcentral.org.
Teacher Leadership (TLC) Update - This week Mrs. Olson spent time working with our first graders on how to use the program Seesaw on their iPads. This will allow them to share their learning via drawing, photo, voice, and video!

Sioux Central FFA Meats team placed 3rd of 14 teams; Livestock team places 18th out of 44 teams at Iowa FFA competitions September 28. Upcoming events include Clay County Fair and District Soils.



Sioux Central students were treated to a "Surprise and Delight" on Friday, August 27. This included an afternoon of canoeing, yard games, and ice cream. Great way to end the first week of school!




It is the first home football game of the season! Come to the #SiouxCentral Booster Club Tailgate 5:30-7:00PM on Friday, September 3. They are serving burgers and brats sponsored by Sioux Lumber and Beck Seeds.

Seasons Center and Sioux Central are partnering together to serve children and youth in our area and we want to hear from you. We are working to gather some data specific to school based services so we know where to start and we have data to compare to at the end of the year to see if the services were effective. The varsity football game that was scheduled for Friday September 10th in Pocahontas will now be played on September 9th. 7:00 p.m. start time.
#SiouxCentral teachers planned a #SurpriseandDelight for students. The elementary students enjoyed a morning filled with scavenger hunts, art projects, and games. This afternoon, the MS/HS students had various activity options including outside games, art projects, and drone photography. HS students also had the opportunity to participate in canoe races. What an awesome end to a great first week of school!

South O'Brien will be hosting a tailgate supper prior to tomorrow night's game. Meal will include pork loin, potato salad, cookie, and drink. Free will donation and all proceeds benefit the football program.
