Sioux Central FCCLA competed at the State Leadership Conference held in Cedar Rapids, IA this week. Six students competed in various events and earned top honors for their efforts. Congratulations from Left to Right, Lauren Holm; 2nd Place FCS Project Showcase, Marley Madsen and Caitlin Wildeman earned a Silver medal in their Chapter Service Project Display, Jazmin Durazo and Haylea Tillman received a silver for the Chapter Service Project Portfolio and Sarah Phillips won first place in cake decorating with her "Walk in Their Shoes" Cake. These students put countless hours of work in their projects and their honors are just part of the reward. These opportunities to develop leadership and communication skills will benefit them in all their future endeavors. Family, Career, Community, Leaders of America is an organization that encourages youth to step up and lead. Congrats to this great group of Students who accepted the challenge!
